Any Ideas..

Erik and I have our 5 yr. anniversary in November and as of now I got us a nice hotel I got for $6.95 thanks to my flight I had this summer, all I had to do was buy a stuffed animal for $6.95 and I got a 100 to Red Lion hotel so we have a hotel right on the Colombia river now I am wondering where to go and what to do while we are in downtown Portland.
So far this is all going to be a surprise for Erik and now that this is Private I know he never reads it! So any ideas?? I have the hotel for the day after Thanksgiving on our actual ann. day the 27th-
I took the rains on this year because I had the hotel hook up and I wanted make it better then just dinner, love ya Erik but its 5 years!!
Thanks guys!

Just a suggestion..... but what about recreate your years before the kids? What did you guys do on dates when you were still dating? Movies? Picnic in the park (well, maybe not the park with the rain back), or a candlelit dinner in the hotel room with just you too. Watching old movies, snuggled together.... just a thought.....

Red Lion hotels are so nice! I wish I had some ideas...I like what vfox said above. I'd also suprise him with something that he really loves but maybe hasn't been able to get in awhile...a favorite movie, candy, etc. By the way, I haven't stopped by in awhile, I love your family picture you took and congrats on your running! That is amazing...I hate to run! :) Thanks for posting the monster munch too, that looks yummy!

5 years! Congrats! (And congrats to you for deciding to plan something really cool!)

How about going over to the temple? I always think that is a fun thing to do for our anniversary.

Have you ever been to Powell's bookstore? It's a fun place to roam around. It's huge!

just ideas...instead or 're-creating what you've done in the past' make new memories instead of repeating the old...make him a little book of things you've done in the past and then make extra pages so you can add to them what you do for this anniversary. :)
