Erik surprised me and took me to a Portland Trail Blazers game, he knows I love basketball and we never watch it so we went with some friends Sarah and Kevin. They lost and we were third from the top row but, it was still fun eating our peanut butter m&ms and just cheering!

a nice date night

A while ago we had a date with some of our friends a.k.a my dentist and her husband who goes to school with Erik.  But I just wanted to post so I remember going to this restaurant in down town Portland called Silk. It was so yummy, (well what I got) It was just pretty in there and wanted to remember it.

Erik and I went on a date, it was so fun to be out and away from the kids. Sadie has been so clingy this last week. I was so in need of a time away from them and time with Erik. Erik started back at school this week and he had to take all his finals that due to weather here he didn't take the last week of school. So his first week back he had to take a test every night after school. So we were both in need of a date.
And the funny thing is we really didn't do anything fun at all. We went to get pictures at the store and ended up there for an hour, then went to visit Eriks Dad, then grabbed a bite to eat with our Jamba Juice. And headed to get the kids. But it was time away and whatever I do away is fun ;)

This was on Saturday not Sunday.... I'm not good at posting everyday!

The Everything post...

We had a fun birthday for Erik we went to Portland and eat at PF Changs with some friends we made though Eriks school. It was fun, we went over to a bookstore that is like a whole city block and looked around. Then came back home and the boys went and hit the 60 golf balls I gave Erik for his birthday, and Hailey and I just started talking and found out that she knows my sister and a ton of guys that I knew- (I pulled out the old Rexburg album and of course its a small small world.)

So Erik was born in 82 not 81- So now you can laugh at me... I could go fix it but I like to laugh at me to.

The GARDEN!! look how it has grown, I have been making the best salads lately, oh and the taste is so hardy. Sad to say, I think the birds got my pea plants, there were holes like someone just stuck their finger in there. So sad peas are the best part.... I only have 2 that made it.

So at church today Ethan got his first shiner, it was bubble time and he got a little to excited and tripped and landed on the shoe of another kid, who also got a bonk on the head- (I think that is what happened) I will have to take a picture tomorrow so you can see it! Its pretty good! You can kinda see it in his eye here, but it is already a lot darker.

Have you ever wondered?

So Erik came home from school and told us we were going to have a family date night he even said it had a name. So I was excited because usually we drive around and look for somewhere to eat and by the end of the night we are bugged at each other because we are so indecisive! So we ate at home and we got in the car and he said "Have you ever wondered... Which is better TCBY or Baskin Robbins? " and I said yes we wondered that last time we went for ice cream. So we went to TCBY and got 1 cup Chocolate Peanut butter Truffle and went over to Baskin Robbins and got Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate and we he have at home Breyers Reese's ice cream and I totally loved TCBY I don't know if I just didn't think that I would because it is in a run down looking place or what, but that is the one I liked the best! And it is even the healthiest! Yay for yogurt!
And if only it was yesterday we could have gotten the 31cent ice cream at Baskin Robbins!

So after that he asked me if I wonder anything else, and I said "I wonder where the best place is to get a camera?" so we went to Best Buy and Radio Shack well I wish I could say I have a camera but I cant, I think we have made our way in to Best Buy to look about 3 time but we always think we are going to get a better deal, but I would defiantly say Best Buy was better- Anyways we are trying to decide what we need right now. I want a big nice one but really we dont have the money for the one I want, and I was thinking there is this one my friend has that is drop prof, freeze prof- Just in case it gets put in the freezer... And water prof which would be sweet to take pictures of Ethan in the pool this year! So I need some advice from all you pro's out there, Do I get the kid prof one that is about 280 and then when we actually have money get the supper nice one, or do I just breakdown and get the semi-nice but better zoom one that is like 350ish? I just want a camera!

The family date was great, it was just nice to get out of the house for the first time this week- And I was just happy that Erik was on the ball and planed something because I usually just go get a redbox movie and call it good! Thanks for thinking outside the norm babe!

Date Night

On Friday I had cabin fever so bad... So I left, and went Shopping! I went to the factory stores and got some good deals at Carter's and Oshkosh on some cute things for the kids!! like 3$ deals! Yeah it was good! Then Erik called me and asked me on a date! So I went home and actually got ready, waited for Kyley's dad (a girl I babysit) to come get her. Then Erik got home from helping a friend move, and had with him a new printer!! I was so excited because our printer has not been working and I am always begging him to get us one.. So, I was extremely happy! (the kid Erik helped moved got it with his computer and didn't need it, so gave it to us, thanks!!)

So we left both kids with my in-laws and we were off. We went to this Mexican restaurant forgot the name, it was sweet they had these singers that sang to each table, it made you feel kinda special, (after feeling kinda dumb, because you don't know if you should look at them the whole time or keep eat.) Then we went to Baskin Robins, I have to say that was the best part... I LOVE ICE CREAM!! We shared a Ch. Oreo scoop and a Mint Ch. Chip scoop. mmmm mmm mm.
