S is for Skating Sadie

This week's preschool field trip:

Stole this from my friend and this is what she said:

"Super-Cute Skatin'-Sadie. She wins the prize of the day as far as I'm concerned. She put those little skates on for the first time in her life and was ready to roll. No fear, natural balance, and an adorable smile."

I couldn't agree more! It was so fun she kept letting go of me and wanting to do it all by her self.  But Ethan on the other hand, just wanted to watch! I was o.k. with that I think I would have needed a few more hands if he tried. But next time he said he wants to, can't wait!

Temple Picture Party!

My Sister is putting on a party to make these!!  And I am hoping to be there to help!
These are the temple pics that we are going to make on March 19th at 6:30 pm! Here are the facts about it! Let me know if you want to come join us! I made one before Christmas and I just love it!!! It is fabulous! Pictures this size of the temple are usually hundreds! You don't have to bring anything to the class. They provide everything. I was so nervous before my class...but it was so easy! They raised the price on their temples since the last class, so if you are interested...you may want to do it soon before they keep raising the price. I made the Logan Temple pic but they have others as well.

$53 with Tax and Everything!
26" x 32" - HUGE!

I will need to get the money to them weeks before the class. So, I would need you to contact me and mail me a check by the end of this week; so that I can send them on to her. So fun!

happy lovey dovey day!!

Valentines day is fun- I have always enjoyed it, not only to get gifts but to come up with gifts!  This year I came up with a gift for Erik that I was so excited about. I have wanted to do for the last 5 years, but never have! So this year I said to my self OK 5 year mark I need to get this done. (its kinda like how we have all of our little camera's from off our table from our reception that still need to be developed... I hope they still will develop!) Note to self -DO THAT!!!
So....... what I did was......
I put together our little Love Notes, which where the emails we wrote back and forth from when we met when he was in Texas and I was in Preston. It is so funny reading them, telling each other about ourselves and me asking him for advice on the guy I was dating at the time. If you know how fast Erik and I met and got married you know those Email must have said a lot!

It was fun, he didn't know I had them and he was blown away with how I got them because they were both on our BYU-I accounts which are now non exsisting!  But I had printed them off years ago, probably right after we got married. So he loved it, and I loved it, and it has been so long since I have played with any of my scrapbook stuff- I miss it! I only got 3 pages done so I still have time to play!  It was just a fun weekend, and ended with a great meal that from Erik!

Undaunted

I am reading  The Undaunted.  800 pages-  Well worth it.
In fact, I couldn't put the book down.

It starts with a 6-year-old boy working in coal mines in England.  It follows him as he emigrates to Utah as a teenager.  When he is in his early 20s, he begins a challenging pioneer journey in southern Utah.
In the late 1870s, a group of missionaries/pioneers set out to find a shorter route from Escalante, Utah to the southeastern corner of Utah, near what is now Bluff, Utah.  These families set out on what they thought would be a 6 week trek.  It took 6 months, because they had to build wagon roads through challenging terrain.

It’s a fabulous book filled with historical facts and people woven into the story with the fictional characters, faith, perseverance, and love.

The author has a great website with photos of the pioneer route landmarks at:  http://www.undaunted-thenovel.com/
