Gourmet Grilling!

Last night we had a Gourmet Grilling party here at our house, it was a blast and the most amazing food. Alisha the gal at the bottom was our host, she did a great job and look at all the yummy food we ate.

Emily brought these Open faced sandwiches for our appetizer and they were delish!
Baquette , sliced about 1 inch thick.
Spread on top:
8oz. cream cheese, softened to room temp,
Stir in 1 dry packet of Italian Good Seasonings Dressing.
Top with:
Sliced cucumber and/or sliced tomato
Sprinkle with salt and pepper

Grilled Mushrooms
Cut centers out of very large mushrooms.
Fill emptied mushrooms with pine nuts, chopped fresh garlic, slivered parmesean cheese pieces.
Meanwhile, make a marinade consisting of:
1/2 C. Balsamic Vinegar
1 C. Olive Oil
1 tsp. coarse salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
12 leaves of fresh basil, finely sliced using a knife
Pour the marinade over the tops of the mushrooms, filling in around the pine nuts, cheese, etc.
Let sit for 30 minutes or more (up to 3 hrs.)
Grill over medium heat until tender, approximately 6-7 minutes. Rotate half-way to get cross-grilled look.
Grilled Tomatoes
Cut tomatoes in half through the middle
Place on grill, cut side down.
Cook for 2-3 minutes, then rotate 45 degrees to create cross-grilled look.
Cook another 2-3 minutes, then remove from grill.
Meanwhile, pulverize 6 garlic cloves and cook in a frying pan in hot olive oil for 2-3 minutes.
Drizzle oil/garlic mixture on the cooked side (top) of the grilled tomatoes.
Top with shredded Parmesean cheese pieces.

We LOVE the ZOO!

We had a fun day at the zoo yesterday I wish I got a picture of everyone who was with us.
We has quite a crew. There was even someone to hold Sadie when she was tiered of the stroller and to push Ethan when Sadie just wanted Momma. So thanks for the help!!!

Ethan is at the age where he just loves
to see all the animals, he kept asking to see horses and cows though. Thanks, to my family
in Idaho for that one!

This Poler Bear was so fun to watch, he dove into the water for us and was playing with the bucket its fun to hear Ethan tell you about it.

We saw this bird paint this picture, Ethan was way more excited about an
ant he was playing with on the ground.
They were charging 10 bucks for this picture, we thought thanks but our boys can
do a great job of making a picture like that at home.

yummy raspberrys

We have the nice conveyance of having a fruit vinegared just down the road, I have been so excited to go pick, I did my strawberry's jam making a few weeks ago. Now the sweet raspberry's came on, mmm my favorite!! So I took a girl I visit teach who just moved here and we picked along with our kids who eat far more then they collected, then came home and made the jam. It was great it made a lot more then I thought it would. I got 15 bottles out of my 3 pounds, and along with my strawberry jam I think I am set for awhile now!

The top picture turned out cute, my camera was on a different setting and I didn't know it.

Our little camping trip

We went camping a while ago, and it was nice because we didn't have to go more then 10 min. away and the place we went had deer just come right up to you, so I kinda felt like the princess that talks to animals because
we had chipmunks coming up to us as well as the deer. At one time both the deer and chipmunks walking right up to me and the kids. I wish we had more time to go camping I really enjoy getting out of the house.

I have to laugh at the picture of Erik and the kids. I know Sadie has a big head, but in this pictures it looks Huge! She is just really smart so she needs a big head to hold it all in ;)

Happy Birthday Brother

We miss ya and we love ya, hope you had a great day!!

8 Months

Time is just flying by, she is growing so fast!! She has 2 bottom teeth and 2 coming in up top, she is crawling really good now and getting in to everything. She always has her mouth wide open, or she is bitting on her bottom lip.
She weighs 20 pounds, so I am sure getting tuff! She smiles at everyone and her little personality is starting to shine through, she is still my little cuddle bug, and I love it!

We are 5 stay at home moms with some fabulous designs at simply fabulous prices, each having our own unique spin on celebrating your baby!

High Adventure

Erik went on the High Adventure with the boys this year, and I told him to take some really cool pictures and some of himself, so he came back with so many pictures and so many stories. High Adventure is about a week long trip that the boys plan, this year they went to the San Juan Islands where they biked and camped throughout four days. They had a great time, and managed to come back alive.

This is Erik peeing, we have a funny guy in our ward who thought I would appreciate this!!

The boys! all but one I believe

He did so good with all the pictures!!

Hittin' the trail

We went on a little hike and then did a little slack lining (it is where you walk on a tight rope) while Eriks family was in town, it was fun Ethan loved it and Sadie crashed on dad the whole hike.
