Girlfriends Christmas Party 09

Every year my friend Emily and Alisha plan this Christmas party and it is something I look forward to all year. It is sooo much fun and the best food EVER! As you can see in the pictures!

These were the invitations we received. And this is a little craft/favor that everyone made and went home with. It's a recipe book with several of the favorite recipes complete with pics from the party over the years. I cant wait to try the Cajun Candied Salmon, it was soooo amazing!

Appetizers:
  • Frothy Pink Grapefruit Strawberry Drink
  • Tomato, Mozzerella & Basil Skewers drizzled with Balsamic Dressing
  • Roasted Red Pepper Dip on a Crusty Baguette
Dinner:
  • Christmas Salad
  • Cajun Candied Salmon
  • Lemon Rice
  • New Wave Green Beans
  • Fruit Salad with Cherries
  • Orange Rolls
Dessert:
  • Mini Cheesecakes & Brownie Tarts with Carmel Frosting
Everything was AMAZING!!

The traditional dessert exchange which is always fun and exciting. Everyone goes home with a fun holiday dessert for their family and a cute new serving tray. This year we had a banana cake with carmel and burnt butter frosting, peppermint bark popcorn, chocolate covered oreos, adorable pretzel rod snowmen, homemade oreo cookies with peppermint, peanut butter and jelly bars and fudge, red velvet cupcakes, and a chocolate cheesecake cake.

I took home the banana cake with the Carmel and burnt butter frosting!! Oh it was heavenly!!! I had to give half of it to the missionary because I knew I would eat it all!

It was so fun I will miss this the most when we move away from here!

Santa Clause's Portable North Pole!

I know Christmas Eve is tomorrow but if you are blogging you need to make this for your little ones, I did it last week and it is so fun!
It lets you fill out some info about your little one and then it makes a sweet little personalized video for them from Santa!

12 days of Christmas

Oh I have a sweetie pie...

So what is it the 4th day of Christmas- I wonder what he's going to do..
On the 1st I got a messages (like a full body one, it was great)
On the 2nd day I got a "2 hour after bedtime movie"... so we watch Narnia Price Caspian eat popcorn and drank some pop. and stayed up until 1:30! That my friends NEVER happens.. and it was even finals week...
So on the 3rd day I got my well loved OREOS which worked out soooo good for my Girlfriend Christmas Party... I then dipped them in chocolate and drizzled white chocolate over them... (more on that party soon)
So I just got home and heard Erik putting the kids to bed and so I thought GREAT I could sure use this time to do some updating!!

Thanks Steven... I think Erik remembers me saying last year how awesome that was....

Christmas Eve

We had a nice ham dinner, opened up some pj's, read some stories and put the kids to bed.
Then the party began... Erik and my dad had so much fun putting these army men out, it was a real battle. Then we played some games, and everyone went to bed, I stayed up cleaning and making Christmas brunch that we have every year, it was a late night but worth it!
