~Best fieldtrip ever

We went to the Candy Basket and took a tour for preschool. It was very well anticipated by Ethan and I all week.  When you walk in you see this chocolate waterfall, and there is like 2,800 lbs of chocolate flowing through it. It's crazy all I wanted to do was jump in and open my mouth and take a shower in chocolate, but that wasn't aloud... darn it- so we just managed to watch the ton of chocolate fall.

We made it into the tour with our hair nets on which I prept Ethan with, we have been to a few tours where he has had to wear hair nets so he was good with it. In the tour he was WOWed that they made chocolate EVERYTHING, tools, guitars, golf balls, even poop. They also make taffy and that was so fun to watch. We had samples all along the way, by they time it was done I was stuffed with chocolate and taffy!

Gotta love um

This is what Ethan just said to me 2 minutes ago:

Mom, can I feel you muscles?
wow, mom your stronger then a super hero!

I say well its because moms are heroes..

No your not mom, your angles!!

Yesterday Sadie came over to where I was putting some pictures away and saw Ethan at Sadie's age and she said,

Oh Ethan, I love Ethan so much!

I thought it was so cute and so out of the blue.

Then she told me today that she loves cookie moster, big bird and elmo who are on her toilet seat. So lots of love out of her right now!

Last week craziness!

This is what happens when 17-18 year olds think they can drive 100 miles an hour.
This happend last Thursday around 2 o' clock, they came flying down our road hit a dip or somthing and took the car air born hitting the first bricks and spinnin garound a few times and driving backwards into most of the pillars crashing through 4 of them. Sending the bricks flying far into the yard, I found his garage door opener halfway in our yard.

They  both walked out the passenger had a brick in his head, "He was Stoned".. hahaha

This is how far the bricks came into our yard, I found a few even further.

So going through 4 of these I really cant believe they are alive!

Sadie and Ethan's b-day "way late"

Her cake is so sad to me but I ran out of time. She enjoyed it just as much, but we had just
a little get together with the inlaws for both Ethan and Sadie this year. Sadies b-day was on the 13th and Ethan's the 30th of Nov. so yes I am late. Its because I dont have a working computer!!! ggrrrr

Ethan told me how to make his cake and it was so fun to try fondant for the first time, it was so easy and very easy to make as well!

Ethan got my most favorite book of all time "Little Black Sambo"
He loves it just as much as I do and did!
and he got some more David Shannon books that I love as well.

These were the invitations we received. And this is a little craft/favor that everyone made and went home with. It's a recipe book with several of the favorite recipes complete with pics from the party over the years. I cant wait to try the Cajun Candied Salmon, it was soooo amazing!

Appetizers:
  • Frothy Pink Grapefruit Strawberry Drink
  • Tomato, Mozzerella & Basil Skewers drizzled with Balsamic Dressing
  • Roasted Red Pepper Dip on a Crusty Baguette
Dinner:
  • Christmas Salad
  • Cajun Candied Salmon
  • Lemon Rice
  • New Wave Green Beans
  • Fruit Salad with Cherries
  • Orange Rolls
Dessert:
  • Mini Cheesecakes & Brownie Tarts with Carmel Frosting
Everything was AMAZING!!

The traditional dessert exchange which is always fun and exciting. Everyone goes home with a fun holiday dessert for their family and a cute new serving tray. This year we had a banana cake with carmel and burnt butter frosting, peppermint bark popcorn, chocolate covered oreos, adorable pretzel rod snowmen, homemade oreo cookies with peppermint, peanut butter and jelly bars and fudge, red velvet cupcakes, and a chocolate cheesecake cake.

I took home the banana cake with the Carmel and burnt butter frosting!! Oh it was heavenly!!! I had to give half of it to the missionary because I knew I would eat it all!

It was so fun I will miss this the most when we move away from here!
