All in a good day!

Today was a good day!! (Monday that is) usually my Mondays do not go well but this one did. We picked grapes from our yard and juiced 30 quarts of grape juice today and to top it off Erik made dinner. Ok- he warmed up left overs, but hey I didn't have to do it!!! Erik started school back up today, and we had a great lesson on Tithing with MM's included!! Which I am way excited for all our new Family Home Evening packets! So Yahoo for a great Monday, they don't come around here often enough!

MAX... CAR....DEAD and ETHAN CRACKING ME UP!!

Sad day, Eriks Dog (really Susan's) died while we were watching it when the in-laws were out of town. Its sad Max the dog was 15 years old, it was his time to go, awhile ago he did something to his leg and has been hopping around on 3 legs for awhile, and he was getting pretty old. Now that two dogs Ethan has known have gotten hit by a car, he is so careful anytime we are outside by any cars. He will cry until I hold his hand. Its good I guess but sometimes I want my leg all to my self!!


Ethan is at that age where he is correcting me ON EVERYTHING!!!! let me just tell you a few that happened just TODAY! I say "Ethan will you get the light" He says... "GET the light?" Ya... "No mom, turn off the light."
Then I say at the table.. which I usually don't call Erik dad but I did I said, "Dad, will you pass the water" and Ethan says "Mom, He's NOT your dad, he's mine."

"Mom, I want candy I'm 2 and a half, and 2 and half boys get candy!!"

Visiting Teaching Brunch

What: Brunch (Ham, Mushroom & Spinach Strata, French Breakfast Puffs, Fresh Orange Juice and Fruit Skewers)

When: Last Friday Morning

Where: Emily's House

Who: Emily, Heather, Cassandra, Tina, Kari, and Michelle + the littles that aren't in school yet

Why: Do you really need a why to get together and eat good food with good friends? I don't think so!

This is delicious and a great idea for Thanksgiving or Christmas morning since you make it the night before. I got the recipe from my friend Alisha and the only change I made was adding some baby spinach. Thanks for sharing Alisha!

8 eggs
1 3/4 cups whole milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
5 slices dense French Bread cut into 1-1 1/2 inch cubes
1 lb ham, cubed (I had deli ham on hand so I just sliced that up and it worked great)
1/2 pkg sliced mushrooms
8 oz grated cheddar cheese
1/2-1 cup baby spinach leaves torn into pieces (optional)

note: I used a little less ham and added 1/2-1 cup of baby spinach torn into pieces

Beat eggs; add milk, salt and dry mustard. Stir well. Add next 4 ingredients, stirring well after each addition.

I put it in a 2 1/2 quart DeMarle (silicone bakeware) mold to bake, if you do it in something else you'll probably need to grease it. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes. Let stand 20 minutes before inverting onto plate (you'll only be inverting this if you use a DeMarle mold, you can just serve it out of the pan if you're using something else) Slice and serve.

To the Coast!

I am finally getting this posted, we went to the beach and to the aquarium which in my option wasn't worth the money.. But luckily Grandma Arter paid our way! It was fun, Sadie was sleeping through the who aquarium thing then at the beach she just wanted to eat the sand. Ethan wanted to be a puppy dog, so he crawled all the way to the water, which was a long way!

Ethan found this snail and named it Tina, the yucky think kept coming out, so I talked him into letting him live in our back yard by the stream.

Ethan Loves to give us a gooffy face everytime we take a picture of him, here are just a few that I have. I need to figure out how to do the thing where you put all your pictures into one picture!
I need to add some of his funny things he says,
Well today he said, "Mom, you need to call me Rocker Ethan, K" He is always saying mom watch me rock, and if you know Ethan he is so quite and shy, but at home man he Rocks out! Where ever he got that, makes me laugh.

He tells me every day Tucker is his bestest bestest in the EVER wide world friend. That make me so happy, I want them to be bestest buds, if only they got to see each other more!
We were at the temple and he said look mom Macaroni, it was so cute!!
Ok last one, in bed tonight he said WHATEVER- and Im like where did you learn that one?? He said you were talking to Grandma and her name is Susan (ok, just in case I was wondering I guess) and you said Whatever. It was funny, he said it all slow and everything just like you do when your 12! He is to funny, and I wish I could just jump on here and record all the funny things he says!

Sad Story

My friend Emily D. knows Carol and Scott Decker and when I heard this story it made my heart sink. This mom had a baby 3 months ago and got an infection and now she is blind and has no legs and only one arm. So to read more of what happened heres their blog. Scott and Carol

9 and 10 months!

Growing way to fast! She is such a happy baby, full of smiles and lots of noises. She will stop crying anytime Ethan sings to her, and Ethan loves doing it, its sweet! She loves her brother! She weighs 22.13 pounds and 29 in long! She is walking along the couches and everything so I think the first steps will come soon! She LOVES to pinch me.. all the time so I made this little soft blanket thing today to see if she can start pinching that instead, HOPEFULLY!!

some music thing...

We when down town to some music thing and it was crazy, it was a christen music concert I wanted to go because one of the American Idols Phile Stacey was going to be there. But we missed him. It was a fun night anyways we didnt stay long the kids were getting cranky and I was in need of some Cold Stone so we went there after. But it was fun to be in the city for a night.

This guy just looked so crazy and he has a sweet accent, so there you go.

Little tidbits

Before I go crazy thinking about me ever catching up I better start now and try to get some done. I HATE internet problems- let me add!!

I am having fun looking at old pictures on Susan and Ricks computer! So that is why I have these random picutures that have nothing to do with me catching up! But I always like to look at pictures so I added these ones!

Well life has been busy; we have made it one whole year through school, well in two weeks!! I am so proud of Erik for doing so well and balancing family with his Huge amount of school! I have to say I have made it one whole year living under my in-laws I think I need some credit! ;)

August flew by Sadie went to her 9 month apt. and of course she is 97% Bigger then anyone her age! She weighs 22 pounds- She could be turned around in her car seat- to bad we have to wait 3 more months for her to be one!! She will be 10 months in just a few days! I have officially started my little bag making with 2 bags sold this last week! I am getting excited about it, both people I sold to really like them so that make me feel even more excited! My in-laws are out of town so I am using there computer so here are some cute pictures of Ethan when he was Sadies age, its funny he had no teeth and Sadie has 7!
